#5525 Delete EPEL 7 branch of python3
Closed: Fixed 7 years ago Opened 7 years ago by cstratak.

Hello,

Recently a user requested admin access to python3 package.

The request was left there as the user did not contact me or any of the other admins, however at some point the request had to be processed by a fedora admin, thus he was granted admin access for a (newly created) EPEL 7 branch. Then he proceeded of merging that branch with master and attempted to build python3 in koji.

Can the EPEL 7 branch be deleted and the user be revoked of his admin access to that?

Also would it be possible to blacklist the EPEL 7 branch for python3?

For expediency I orphaned and retired the epel7 branch of the python3 package, but as far as I know I can't actually remove it from pkgdb completely without going to the database.

The branch in git will also need to be nuked. I can of course do that but didn't want to mess with that until pkgdb has been made to forget it.

@pingou could you look at deleting just the epel7 branch? I know the interface lets you delete a entire package but we only want the one branch deleted.

Similarly, if we can prevent a python3 branch from ever happening for EL6?

I'll have to do that in the DB, but no problem I'll do it :)

That's not something pkgdb can do

The epel7 branch of python3 is gone :)
