#5380 Private Cloud request for CommOps Metrics

Purpose of instance:
Testing / Deploying CommOps Weekly/Monthly Metrics Generation Scripts

This scripts need to be run every week (cron) to generate statistics of summer interns and (CommOps members) in the future. This will also be used reports of future events and stuff.

OS needed:
(Fedora / RHEL and version)

F23

Size of instance:
(small, medium, large. If unsure, ask)

Medium

External Ports needed:
(ssh and icmp are always allowed, add any additional ports you need open)

Length of time instance needed:

Unknown - Possibly long term.

FAS account names or group that needs access:

skamath, bee2502, jflory7

FAS account of primary contact:
(will get emails on downtime, etc)

Any other needs:
(persistent volumes, additional cpu or memory needs, etc)

So, do you know the scripts you need to run already? And I assume they would be gathering from datagrepper/fedmsg?

If so another option here would be just to add those scripts into our main ansible repo and run/maintain them there.

If you need to explore and figure out the scripts then perhaps a cloud instance would be faster as you could develop them with less overhead.

Yep. It's here : https://pagure.io/gsoc-stats . It will be gathering data from datagrepper although I am looking to make it work with statscache later on.

I have to experiment on the performance on the script and it is not (yet) fully functional. It'd be great if I can get a cloud instance for a short while and see how things progress.

A cloud instance looks good to me at this point of time.
