Add the BackTick extention to Fedora Wiki, (https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:BacktickCode)
This will allow to write a cleaner pages where you need mix code inline, e.g
grep /proc/cpuinfo | grep vx
tmux
I am not sure we'd want to do this (as it does break some wiki things unexpectedly for other people), but it would require packaging for mediawiki123 at the minimum.
@puiterwijk would this need to be an RPM? I can attempt that.
Putting these here for now. Will research file locations for RPM <img alt="BacktickCode.php" src="/fedora-infrastructure/issue/raw/files/d4c5ee43b2ab9761f177870ea14e0ada1927813b4dc248d8aada1067f7a3039e-BacktickCode.php" />
Apparently it didn't like the second file. Here it is. <img alt="extension.json" src="/fedora-infrastructure/issue/raw/files/027f34948ec36efc0664e85f920b445744b9ee436ac06e9c503dc7625b534870-extension.json" />
Initial spec file. <img alt="mediawiki-backtickcode.spec" src="/fedora-infrastructure/issue/raw/files/400cd40572ceefc111db80a6391e200f5f1cd917b278bf9771044edd395d3ec7-mediawiki-backtickcode.spec" />
Note that we have now moved to using the Fedora mediawiki rpms.
So, we would need a Fedora mediawiki-BackTickCode package created if this is still desired.
@rabiny is this still desired?
@abkahrs you still want to try and package it up?

I can certainly help with packaging if needed

What is needed to package this extension ? only to provide a spec files ? or SRPM ?
Ideally it would be packaged up and added to the fedora packages collection and maintained there.
Failing that, we could carry a infra version if needed, but that still needs someone to write the spec file and test it and get it all working.

I will work on packaging the extension.

@kevin so far I have created an rpm and run a scratch build on koji. FYI - this extension's code was just a copy and paste from the official MediaWiki wiki page. I will set up a mediawiki install and load the extension to see if it works before making any packaging requests.
@kevin @smooge @puiterwijk - FYI - submitted package review; https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/5136
Package was reviewed and needed some fixes to the spec file. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1597391
Ok - Package is approved and needs a sponsor now.
Update - backtick code extension submitted for testing; https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2018-56aa80cfd9
ok, this is now live on both staging and prod wiki's. ;)
Thanks @aikidouke for packaging it up for us!
