The collectd role has been added to the ansible-controlled hosts in the qa.fp.o subnet but log01 is not collecting any data from them (db-qa01.qa, virthost-comm03.qa, virthost-comm04.qa are all examples of rhel7 ansible-controlled hosts that fit this).
I looked into whether this could be a firewall issue, but 'nc -uv 10.5.126.13 25826' from db-qa01.qa connected without issue, leading me to believe that this is not a firewall issue.
collectd is running on db-qa01.qa and appears to be sending data (https://github.com/collectd/collectd/issues/664 is present on that machine and is regularly emitting messages to journal).
I filed an internal ticket here to have them check the path between qa network and log01 for this. It seems like it's never quite communicating correctly. Will update as soon as I hear back from them.
This should be fixed up now. ;)
