#4526 SOP for fedocal missing
Closed: Fixed None Opened 9 years ago by puiterwijk.

= phenomenon =
I can't find any SOP for fedocal in infrastructure.fedoraproject.org/infra/docs/

= background analysis =

= implementation recommendation =
We need to get a SOP to fall back to in case of issues with fedocal, and procedures on how to create calendars etc.

There is no SOP for fedocal because there is: http://fedocal.readthedocs.org/en/latest/

The usage page should cover most of what is probably wanted in a SOP: http://fedocal.readthedocs.org/en/latest/usage.html (and maintaining doc in two places might not be the best idea)

Then we probably need a link in the infra/docs/ directory to this page, as that is where most people look first when they see something going wrong with servers/services.

I put together a quick link page in the general form of an SOP, paste here http://paste.fedoraproject.org/295030/48592171 . I need to take a quick look at it against the SOP SOP, but if this is still needed, let me know and I will commit the doc.

I think thats a fine start. +1 to commit/close this ticket. ;)

I guess I never assigned this to my self. I will go find my draft SOP in my back ups this week and commit that then close this ticket. Unless I find a faster way to recover the paste. Then I will just grab from there.

I've recreated the SOP for fedocal with the links noted above and done a git add and a git commit of the rst document. I get success on both actions to infra/docs. I do not see the doc yet, but I suppose that could be the cache getting me as well. I will have a look later and see if it shows up.

Perhaps you forgot the 'git push' to push your changes to the repo at the end?

Sop has been pushed to the infra-docs repo and I have verified that it shows up in the website for infra-docs at this point. I'll leave the ticket open for a bit so people can have a look and a chance to suggest changes. Thanks to puiterwijk and pingou for helping me get my clone commitable.

I've not heard, nor have I seen, any issues with the SOP as is, so I am going to close this. 16 months is plenty of time for ticket to live.
