#4524 Fedora Cloud Instance for DevPI Testing Deployment
Closed: Fixed None Opened 9 years ago by bkabrda.

Hi, I'd like to request an instance in Fedora Cloud for running devpi [1] testing instance. This is supposed to be for purposes of Environment and Stacks working group as discussed at the last meeting [2].
We need a generic machine with at least 2 GB of memory and 5 GB of storage for now. We'll also need a public IP address, as we'll be serving some dynamic HTML and other content. bkabrda and ncoghlan should have root access.
(This is the first time I'm opening ticket like this, so I hope I included all the necessary info.)
Thanks!

Sorry for the delay here.

What OS do you want? rhel6, 7, or Fedora 19/20?

RHEL 7 sounds like the best option to me. That will give us a stable base to build on, and if we need anything fresher, we can bring it in through COPR or EPEL as appropriate.

Sorry for the delay here. ;(

I can setup a centos7 right now for you if thats ok.

I have had reports of odd behavior with our (I made it) rhel7 image. ;( If you are willing to keep an eye out on it and help me debug problems I can spin a rhel7 one. :)

Finally if you prefer, you can hold off and I will get time sometime to track down the issues with our rhel7 image and can spin it up then.

Although I'm not the most experienced sysadmin, I have no problem with helping debugging the image, so spin up rhel 7, please :)

Luckily for you, it failed when I was trying to deploy it, making me go and fix it up. ;)

So, it should be all set:

209.132.184.166 is the ip and you should be able to login as root with your ssh key(s) from the fedora account system.

Please let us know if there is anything further you need.
