What should be the host name for the CNAME record?
So in other words, what should come before the .firewalld.org to forward to the rhcloud domain?

Would it be possible to have "firewalld.org" and "www.firewalld.org" redirected to firewalldweb-dnkrhc.rhcloud.com?

What I can do for you is forward firewalld.org to www.firewalld.org and then have that point to the rhcloud instance (it is impossible to create a CNAME for a "naked domain").

Also, please note that even though the whois records point to the Fedora nameservers, nobody ever seems to have notified the Fedora admins of this, so the firewalld.org domain is not known by our nameservers.

I am adding it now, but next time it might be a good idea to notify us of the creation of a domain that points to our nameservers.

Ok, sorry for that. I was following the steps of an internal process for registering a new domain and I thought that this would happen automatically as it wasn't explicitly mentioned in the article I was reading. I'll try to request an update to the article.

Well, I think it would happen automatically if the domain was in the Red Hat DNS servers, where I think the domain should be hosted.

In the meantime, I setup www.firewalld.org on our nameservers, but you should contact RHIT as soon as possible to get this zone to be moved to the Red Hat nameservers.

The domain should be live on Fedora nameservers in about 30 minutes.

Okay, so both firewalld.org and www.firewalld.org work now, and we decided we can host the DNS zone for firewalld.org.
