#4481 email address change for Account Name: dripton
Closed: Fixed None Opened 9 years ago by apevec.

= phenomenon =

David Ripton forgot his FAS password and dripton@redhat.com email address has
been closed.
Please change the email address for his FAS account dripton, I'm filing
the ticket on his behalf since he obviously can't login here to create a ticket :)

For confirmation, bellow is the email from his new email address:
dripton@ripton.net

Cheers,
Alan

Hi David,

please update your email in Fedora accounts

Hi Alan,

I tried, but was unable. (Couldn't get the password in multiple
attempts, password reset requires access to disabled email address.)

If my Fedora account is causing you problems, feel free to remove it.
I'll create a new one if needed.

Change email address to dripton AT ripton.net for FAS account dripton

Unfortunately, we have strict policy on altering people FAS's account.
We need a proof that the account belongs to him. This kind of request can't pass.

He can contact us at admin@fedoraproject.org, no fas account required.

thx

Well, we need some way to verify that they are the account holder.

This could be a GPG signed email (if you added gpg key to your account, but this doesn't seem to be the case)

You do have a security question and answer... if you could mail admin@fedoraproject.org we can ask you your security question and see if you give the right answer. ;)
