= bug description =
If you fetch https://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/metalink?repo=fedora-20&arch=x86_64, you'll get mirrors with /development/20 URLs: http://mirror.yandex.ru/fedora/linux/development/20/x86_64/os/repodata/repomd.xml and so on.
As the result, my mirror which carries releases but not development isn't in the list.
= bug analysis =
I've found similar bugs for previous releases https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/3364 https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/3615
it seems that it's done manually.
= fix recommendation = Please flip whatever switch is necessary to have releases served from mirrorlist.
Yes. We always do this for a bit after release since we already have mirrors with development/20 synced.
Normally we leave it for a week or so, but this time it's hitting right in the middle of holidays. I don't want to move it right now while most everyone is away in case something goes wrong.
So, we will be moving this early next week... will that be soon enough?
Well, I'm guessing it's fine, although maybe the process worth fixing next time? There's usually a surge of installs in a few days after release, and those users all go to remote mirrors...
Well, the problem is that on release day and for a few days after we have a lot of mirrors that have development/N synced, but do not yet have releases/N synced.
We will move the pointer monday.
Changed. Should be active in the next hour or so.
Thanks for your patience.
