#4068 Default CC list for 'anaconda' in Bugzilla needs changing
Closed: Fixed None Opened 10 years ago by dcantrel.

I originally contacted RH eng-ops and rel-eng for help with this, but was directed to Fedora Infrastructure to make the changes for Fedora components in Bugzilla. If this is something I can change myself, please let me know. I have searched and have not found anything indicating I can make this change myself.

WHAT'S HAPPENING:
We get too much email. The 'anaconda' component in Bugzilla under Fedora just needs the assignee set to 'anaconda-maint-list@redhat.com' and the CC list empty. Right now there are a lot of us in the CC list that don't need to be.

WHAT I NEED:
Please remove the following entries from the anaconda CC list:

amulhern@redhat.com
dcantrell@redhat.com
dlehman@redhat.com
dshea@redhat.com
mkolman@redhat.com
sbueno@redhat.com

All of these users belong to anaconda-maint-list@redhat.com.

WHEN:
Well, it's certainly not critical. But my team keeps coming to me annoyed that they keep getting multiple emails for bugs. Which, given that we are forced to use Zimbra at RH, I feel for them and the limitations of message filtering.

Thanks.

Actually, it's ok for the default CC list to contain people. Both jstodola@redhat.com and pholica@redhat.com are QE people who like to monitor what's going on with anaconda Fedora bugs.

You should be able to go to:

https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/acls/name/anaconda

and login and then remove 'watchbugzilla' from anyone who doesn't want it.

If there's something that you can't set from there, please reopen this and we can try and come up with a fix

Hopefully that will do the trick tho.
