For Fedora 20 we're introducing a software center to be able to install applications easily on Fedora. For F21, we want to show ratings and screenshots, and thus need a few hundred Mb of mirrored space.
If we can spare the capacity, 500Mb would be awesome, writeable by fas user "rhughes" just in /pub/alt/screenshots -- they'll be a few hundred PNG files there (soon to be a few thousand).
I'll download the screenshots from the upstream projects, upload to alt/screenshots and rewrite the URL before it gets put in the metadata.
By "mirrored", do you mean that this should go to the Fedora mirror network, or do you just want this on alt.fedoraproject.org? I don't think that any off the mirror admins are going to sweat half a gigabyte, but we might want to coordinate with the mirror mailing list.
I assume that having this on the actual mirrors is desirable -- it reduces our direct downloads and should make things faster for users.

I think the latter is fine for now. It's not a huge amount of data, not is it changing very often.
That's up to you guys; this stuff is black magic to me :)
Note that alt is actually mirrored. Just not to as many sites as releases.
We could look at moving this into the releases tree somewhere, but that will require it to be integrated with buildsys/etc and will not happen anytime quickly.

I setup space under pub/alt. You should be able to sync to it via:
rsync -av --progress ./my-content/ secondary01.fedoraproject.org:/srv/pub/alt/screenshots/
