#4020 Fedora Magazine domain issues
Closed: Fixed None Opened 10 years ago by mitzie.

= bug description =
I have noticed some problems with the domain of the Magazine. For example when you are logged in as admin, and on the admin panel, go to the second page of posts, it directs you to http://wp-fedoramag.rhcloud.com to login instead of the http://fedoramagazine.org/.. The domain wp-fedoramag.rhcloud.com is the domain that openshift gave us on the very beginning, but we switched it to fedoramagazine.org
= bug analysis =
I have also noticed that on the openshift account the wp-fedoramag domain is linked, and nowhere it is shown that the fm.org domain is used.
It is a minor thing, as it doesn't affect the visitors of the site in anyway.

talked to Nirik in the Infrastructure meeting today and he is going to change the proxy. This should fix this ticket, so it can be closed.

I switched it and everything broke. ;(

The site redirects always to https and the cert no longer matches then, and even if you accept the cert it gives a:

Not Found

The requested URL / was not found on this server.
Apache/2.2.15 (Red Hat) Server at fedoramagazine.org Port 443

So, I think we need to coordinate some changes on the site with this change. Perhaps disabling all https setup on the site?

I will go through the files in the GIT repo and look for any traces of anything related to SSL/HTTPS, and commit any changes.

Yes Kevin, I would disable all kind of https in the site. And the point of https is for the admins to login (as you said), now we could all use open id instead

We are going to upgrade the site from a small gear to a medium gear, when that migration is finished I will open up a new ticket to have Kevin turn off the proxy and update the dns.

I am closing this ticket out since the site for the time being is working.
