#3910 Fedora Badges: Add newlines to RST descriptions.
Closed: Fixed 6 years ago Opened 10 years ago by oddshocks.

= problem =
Different parts of badge descriptions appear on the same line.

= analysis =
Flavour text should be separate from actual criteria description.

= enhancement recommendation =
We can add newlines somehow to the RST descriptions, so that we can have a newline, for example, between the italicized/parenthesized section and the unformatted text in the attached PNG.

Just noting that this is a db change.

We need to manually update the 'description' of the 'badges' table, but only for certain badges. It would be helpful if we had a full list of badges that need updating here.

We also need to change their description accordingly in the badges repo here https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/badges.git/tree/rules, although that won't have any effect on production (only a newly bootstrapped environment).

Even though this is a super old ticket, we have a way to update badge descriptions for anyone who is a member of sysadmin-badges. If we had a list of badges that need updating, it would make this ticket easier. Otherwise, if we don't, I think it's better handling the issue raised in this ticket on a badge-by-badge basis (if I am understanding the original ticket correctly).

I think it's probably a safe bet to close this ticket, though. cc: @kevin

Well, at least all the bodhi ones still need fixing. ;)

I guess if we fix those we can close this, or I could close it upstream and we can track badges that need this fix in the badges trac?

@jflory7 Can you fix the bodhi badges and we can call this good until we learn of any others?

Looks like the bodhi ones were fixed.

Closing this, but keep an eye out for any others.
