fas's login() method is a source of confusion to people. It logs in and returns some information about the user but not enough to be useful for determining group membership. It's also returning the value of internal_comments which is supposed to be for admins only.

applied a hotfix to fix those issues. This is in the next release of fas which is currently in testing on the stg fas server right now (scheduled to deploy on Feb 28)
