Hi,

We have got FUEL project (fedorahosted.org/fuel) hosted on fedorahosted infrastructure since quite a long time. We have been maintaining various stuff out of SVN repository provided. For which, we had create limited amount of access to core members of the project. Also we would like to maintain the same for the future. But, after looking at the growing demands of the community we have decided to come up with the the development version of the repository as well, for which we would require the git repository to be enabled.

Could somebody please enable git repository for fuel project?

I have setup a git repo for you. You should be able to add it to trac in the admin section.

Do I need to create commit group of the project like gitfuel? I am not able to commit it yet (I enabled in trac admin (Admin-> Version Control -> Repositories 

devel   git     /git/​fuel.git

Please help.

Sorry about that. I didn't have permissions quite setup right.

Should be fixed now, and the 'svnfuel' group should be able to commit. If you prefer, I can make a new gitfuel group...

Hi Kevin,

Is it possible to provide access to any other user (other than 'svnfuel' group) to only fuel GIT repo?

Basically, the idea behind starting a new GIT from older SVN repo is to broaden the access to the community.

You want the repo open for everyone? Or a new group?

A new group (gitfuel) is easy. I can do that if you like.

We have no way to allow commits from everyone on the net, it has to be people who have a fedora account system account and are in a group that is set for the repo.

Would you like me to setup the gitfuel group?

Having 'gitfuel' group and adding FAS users as and when required adding them to this group is a good idea. Could you please
1. Create a 'gitfuel' group?
2. Allow access of the fuel.git repo to this new group 'gitfuel'?
3. Going forward how can I (FAS Account: ankit) add members to this new group 'gitfuel'?

  3. You can login to your fedora account system account at: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/
    then go to group list, search for gitfuel and then you can add people and sponsor them into the group.
