I notice many people writing multiple comments with continuation rather than somehow getting a magical hint that comments are supposed to be short. This makes more noise, not less.

The current limit is 300. The comments I'm anecdotally noticing seem to be about twice that.

Note that there is a limit there... it has to be less than 2048 for some reason.
Yeah I think it's fine for there to a limit — comments should be comments, not screeds. But the default was clearly too low.
