#3351 Licensing of setup_git_package
Closed: Fixed None Opened 11 years ago by bochecha.

I'm using an adapted [1] version of this script in my company's internal build infrastructure:
https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/browser/scripts/distgit/setup_git_package

So first of all, thanks for publishing it (as well as all the rest), it's incredibly useful. :)

Now, I'd like to make sure we're complying with the license and don't end up violating somebody's copyright...

... but there's no licensing information with the script.

Could somebody clarify?

[1] It's all changes to adapt to our local specificities like filesystem layout and such, so there's not really anything which makes sense to contribute back for now.

Adding jkeating here for comment.

I simply forgot to throw in a GPLv2 header. It's open source, or we wouldn't have published it :)

If you're making modifications locally for use locally then there really isn't any license concerns to care about. Just consider it GPLv2 and hopefully somebody from the infra team will slap a gplv2 header on it.

I have done so. Thanks.
