= implementation recommendation = A mailing list would be great :)
Only a mailing list where people don't have to register would be great. You don't want people to register just to ask How can I join you, and then ask them to unsubscribe as there question has been asked… This is a one shot question. Better would be an alias pointing to… "mentors"/contributors on this special mailing list.
Not sure how this is done, but I think webmasters@fpo points to websites@fpo and you don't need to register to write to webmasters. And we don't receive many spams… You guys at infra have for sure a better view of this… ;)
The list should be created and it should have sent you admin password.
The web thing is:
webmaster is an alias that sends to websites list. websites list is set to moderate anything from non subscribers. moderator (me) goes thru and tosses the spam and approves the real emails.
It's not ideal, as it requires someone to moderate, but it does work.
If the list is just fully open it will attract spam.

No issue here. Some of us can moderate :)
Aye. Understood.
Thanks again for the quick fix.
