#3342 Update Bugzilla mailing list accounts
Closed: Fixed None Opened 11 years ago by shaiton.

Hi, on git.fedorahosted.org/git/l10n/owners.git we have the owners.list file which define some components. They are using the all @redhad address, and should be updated to the lists.fedoraproject.org ones.

I've tried with my team to see what happens, and it fails:

({'product': u'Fedora Localization', 'component': u'French [fr]', 'description': u"Bug reports about French [fr] translations / Rapports d'anomalies sur traduction fran\xe7aise [fr]", 'initialqacontact': u'trans-fr@lists.fedoraproject.org', 'initialowner': u'<snipped>'}, 51, "There is no user named 'trans-fr@lists.fedoraproject.org'. Either you mis-typed the name or that user has not yet registered for a Red Hat Bugzilla account.")

The mailing lists have to be registered, on one way or the other…

BTW that is Piotr Drąg who forward me the error message sent to account@fpo, how to I get those errors?

ok. I can see about changing these accounts.

I have:

{{{
fedora-trans-ar@redhat.com
fedora-trans-bal@redhat.com
fedora-trans-bn@redhat.com
fedora-trans-de@redhat.com
fedora-trans-el@redhat.com
fedora-trans-es@redhat.com
fedora-trans-fr@redhat.com
fedora-trans-gu@redhat.com
fedora-trans-id@redhat.com
fedora-trans-it@redhat.com
fedora-trans-ja@redhat.com
fedora-trans-list@redhat.com
fedora-trans-pl@redhat.com
fedora-trans-pt_br@redhat.com
fedora-trans-ru@redhat.com
fedora-trans-sr@redhat.com
fedora-trans-zh_cn@redhat.com
fedora-trans-zh_tw@redhat.com
}}}

which become:

{{{
trans-ar@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-bal@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-bn@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-de@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-el@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-es@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-fr@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-gu@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-id@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-it@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-ja@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-list@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-pl@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-pt_br@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-ru@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-sr@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-zh_cn@lists.fedoraproject.org
trans-zh_tw@lists.fedoraproject.org
}}}

Is that correct?

The error message comes from the cron job that attempts to set bugzilla owner/cc... it currently just goes to me and Toshio, and a copy to addresses where there is a failure.

ok. I have converted all those over to the new names.

I do see the following accounts in bugzilla that don't seem to be used in the owners list file.

Let me know if you need me to convert them too, or just leave them alone.

{{{
fedora-trans-ca@redhat.com Fedora Translation (Catalan)
fedora-trans-hi@redhat.com Fedora Translation (Hindi)
fedora-trans-hu@redhat.com Fedora Translation (Hungarian)
fedora-trans-ko@redhat.com Fedora Translation (Korean)
fedora-trans-pa@redhat.com Fedora Translation (Punjabi)
fedora-trans-pt@redhat.com Fedora Translation (Portugese)
fedora-trans-ta@redhat.com Fedora Translation (Tamil)
fedora-trans-tr@redhat.com Fedora Translation (Turkish)
}}}

Converting them too would be preferable, along with fedora-trans-list@redhat.com. Thank you!

ok, all done.

Please let me know if there's any others you see or need any further changes.

I still get this error:

({'product': u'Fedora Localization', 'component': u'l10n-requests', 'initialowner': u'dimitris@glezos.com', 'initialcclist': [u'trans@lists.fedoraproject.org', u'diegobz@gmail.com', u'piotrdrag@gmail.com', u'fedora@couf.be']}, 504, 'The name trans@lists.fedoraproject.org is not a valid username. Either you misspelled it, or the person has not registered for a Red Hat Bugzilla account.')

Well, there's not a fedora-trans@redhat.com address...

Do you know what the old address was?

Or was this a new one that needs to be created fresh?

The old one was fedora-trans-list@redhat.com, not fedora-trans@redhat.com (note the -list). It needs to be converted to trans@lists.fedoraproject.org, as this is the list used nowadays.

I see. I changed it from 'fedora-trans-list@redhat.com' to 'trans-list@lists.fedoraproject.org'.

I have now changed it to 'trans@lists.fedoraproject.org'.

Can you confirm all is well now?

Yes, all seems fine now. Thanks again.
