#3273 SSH perms not restored?
Closed: Fixed Opened by renich.

= bug description =
I have, recently, messed up my FedoraPeople permissions with rsync. I can't login

= bug analysis =
Us, users; we are stupid. You know this. We tend to do careless things like rsyncs and stuff like that. OUr SSH keys's permissions are prone to getting messed up.

= fix recommendation =
Why not restore these perms periodically? My suggestion would be:

Acceptable:

chmod 700 ~/.ssh
chmod 600 ~/.ssh/*

Nervous:

chmod 500 ~/.ssh
chmod 400 ~/.ssh/*

Schizophrenic:

chmod 100 ~/.ssh
chmod 400 ~/.ssh/*

I fixed your permissions.

{{{
[root@people03 .ssh]# pwd
/home/fedora/renich/.ssh
[root@people03 .ssh]# ls -al
total 12
drwx------. 2 renich renich 4096 May 6 10:36 .
drwxrws--x. 4 renich renich 4096 May 6 10:36 ..
-rw-------. 1 renich renich 1420 May 6 13:35 authorized_keys

}}}

Yeah, we could look at making fasClient do this on fedorapeople... but it makes runs take a lot longer.

Additionally, we do see these sorts of permissions issues in logs and would be able to correct them pretty quickly.

Thanks for the idea, we will discuss... your permissions should be ok now.
