The perl-maint and newly created virt-maint groups are lists.fedoraproject.org. I'm not sure it really matters either way, but kmod isn't a fedorahosted project. Maybe lists.fp.org just for consistency?

Okay, packagedb should now be updated with the new owner. New bugs filed against the kmod package should be assigned to the list. You will probably need to create a new bugzilla user "kmod-maint@lists.fedoraproject.org" and set your new mailing list to allow messages from bugzilla.

Thank you so much! I have created the BZ account and added the other parties as admins on the kmod-maint mailing list. I also tried resetting the two open bugs to the "default owner", which was still jonathan@jonmasters.org. I know you said that this would be fixed for newly filed stuff...so maybe it's automagical. Otherwise, do we need the BZ folks to ensure the newly created "kmod-maint@lists.fedoraproject.org" user is the default for the "kmod" Fedora component? If it will just happen automatically for new stuff, we're all set (I took care of the two existing bugs).

It is automatic. I just tested a new bug and it assigned to the correct owner so it looks to be working. Reassigning to default owner should also work. It does sync from the packagedb to bugzilla on a cron job and it isn't able to sync if the account doesn't exist in bugzilla. So a possible reason that didn't work was that the bugzilla account was created, you tried to use default owner and it failed, then the cron job ran and synced the new ownership information over. Let me know if you see more strange behaviour.
