We use a fake fedora account 'virtmaint' as the owner or co-owner on a bunch of virt packages.
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/users/packages/virtmaint
I requested a couple packages to have virtmaint added last week:
https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/3237
Since then though there's been a change in behavior. Previously, all new bugs were assigned to fedora-virt-maint@redhat.com, but commit and package owner mails went to virt-maint@lists.fedoraproject.org.
Now it looks like commit mails are trying to go to fedora-virt-maint@redhat.com which is bouncing, and nothing is being sent to virt-maint@lists.fedoraproject.org
Is there anything obvious to fix on the infrastructure side?
RHIT cleaned up a bunch of the old list forwards (at our request) recently, and fedora-virt-maint@redhat.com was one of them.
I will change the virtmaint user to point directly to virt-maint@lists.fedoraproject.org to avoid this. Done.
Can you see if it's working as you expect now? Sorry for the trouble.
If something is still not right, please reopen.
I think that should be fine. Thanks for the quickness Kevin.
One confusing bit is that no bug traffic has ever actually been sent to fedora-virt-maint or virt-maint lists, even though they should be seeing a ton. Any guess how that works? Maybe the bugzilla email prefs for that account basically forbid everything... (either way I'd like to leave it as it is, I'm just curious about it)
Yeah, looks like the emails are hitting moderation on the virt-maint list and it's not letting them through. You should be able to add/subscribe/allow it to post if you want the bugs and commits and build notices to go there...
