Note that we are already using fedorahosted.org for our SCM - we have the following SCM repositories for the 389 project: http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=389/ds.git http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=389/admin.git http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=389/adminutil.git http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=389/console.git http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=389/ds-console.git http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=389/admin-console.git http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=389/winsync.git http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=389/dsgw.git http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=389/dsmlgw.git http://git.fedorahosted.org/git/?p=idm-console-framework.git
We would like to have a Trac for the purpose of keeping track of tickets for these components. I don't know if it is possible to have the Trac source browser linked to all of these source repos - if not, then 389/ds.git is the most important one. The admin list should be the same as the git389 commit group.
Project name: 389
Project short summary: 389 is the port389.org directory server
NOTE: This will be used for scm web areas, please keep it short
SCM choice (git/bzr/hg/svn): git
Project admin Fedora Account System account name: rmeggins
Yes/No, would you like a Trac instance for your project?: yes
Do you need a mailing list? already have mailing lists
Would you like commits messages to be sent to a list? Which one? already set up
Happily, new trac in theory can handle multiple repos. ;)
I've added it with the ds.git one, but you should be able to login and click on admin and click on version control and repositories and add them in. ;) Please let us know how it goes. If it doesn't work, feel free to reopen and we can sort it out.
I'm getting this error:
Warning: Can't synchronize with repository "(default)" (Unsupported version control system "git": Can't find an appropriate component, maybe the corresponding plugin was not enabled? ). Look in the Trac log for more information.
I've tried going into Admin -> Manage Repositories but it says this:
Note: This repository is defined in trac.ini and cannot be edited on this page.
ok. I think I have it working now.
I had to remove the main repo from the trac.ini... apparently if you have multiple repos you shouldn't specify any there or it assumes as single. ;(
Can you look at it now and see if the ones you added look right and it will let you add others?
I added the 389-console git repo /srv/git/389/console.git I got this error
Warning:
Oddly, I think it was something in the description. ;(
I removed it and re-added it and it showed up fine... can you re-add your description for that repo and see if it breaks again?
Looks good Thanks!
Cool. Let me know if you run into anything further.
