#3039 need f-16 VM for external interop testing
Closed: Fixed None Opened 12 years ago by rmeggins.

= phenomenon =

Some members of the ldap community want to do some interoperability testing and need an externally accessible 389 server.

= background analysis =

= implementation recommendation =

I would like an F-16 VM that is externally accessible that I can install and configure a 389 directory server on.

Some questions:

1) When do you need this.

2) How long do you need it

3) What things need to be externally accessible? everything? or just ldap?

4) Would the external folks need access to the machine? Or just access to ldap data?

5) How much load or resources would you think this would need?

Some questions:

1) When do you need this.

As soon as is convenient for you (i.e not critical).

2) How long do you need it

3 days.

3) What things need to be externally accessible? everything? or just ldap?

Just ldap (ports 389 and 636). I'll also need ssh access for myself to set up and configure things.

4) Would the external folks need access to the machine? Or just access to ldap data?

Just ldap.

5) How much load or resources would you think this would need?

Not much. There will be no load or stress testing.

Hi, I've setup an instance at ec2 with ports open for:
sshd, 389 and 636.

you can login using your account (not your ssh key - you'll need to input your password and setup an ssh key)

to
ec2-50-19-189-32.compute-1.amazonaws.com

and then you should be able to sudo from there.

let me know if any of it doesn't work.

I'm shutting this box down on sunday.

Can I have this box until Tuesday Dec 6?

box is now shut down. Closing.
