Lots of people send there meeting reminder manually, sometimes late, sometimes wrong… Could we get a cron job handling meetings reminder? The sender would have to be approved through all mailing lists, using a reply-to depending on the meeting targeted…
Some teams like to send meetings reminder 3 days before the DDay, some other only 1 day ahead, but I am sure that we can agree with only one value.
Of course that's concerning only regular meetings.
I think we really need to hash out requirements here. Perhaps on the mailing list would be better for that?
This is just email reminders of meetings sent to lists?
It could get very complex due to Daylight savings time changes (some meetings move with it, others don't), as well as meetings that are canceled for whatever reason or other changes.

Of course, but we can provide an URL to the static meeting page, who has the meeting time and schedule.
Once again, that was just an idea, meeting that I run already has a cron for that…
Well, perhaps the logistics list? or infrastructure to see how things might be implemented?
The problem with trac is that very few people will see it, and it's not great for many voices trying to discuss things, IMHO.

How do we want to move forward?
How do you see this working? Each team/group would have to have the ability to:
edit an email possibly adding their agenda
note when that email would be sent
note where that email would be sent.
We would have to make sure that this couldn't be used by spammers to spam things at people.
What would the app be written in? Who would maintain it?
Hmm. You're right, if you see this things that featured it would be best to have an app instead of a text file with few fields.
How our calendar is going in the Insight side for Google Summer of Code? It could probably be adde there if it will handle groups calendar.
I've not heard anything on that in ages. ;(

Yeah sure. I forgot this ticket, fedocal solve this. Pingou did me a demo on this feature! Not in prod yet but will be useful when ready.
