#261 Expired SSL certificate on https://cvs.fedoraproject.org
Closed: Fixed None Opened 16 years ago by till.

The SSL certificate on https://cvs.fedoraproject.org expired on 2006-04-05, also it is for the common name cvs.fedora.redhat.com, instead of cvs.fedoraproject.org.

now has proper name and is not expired.

Is it possible to get a certificate, that is either signed by a well known CA (one whos certifcates are in /etc/pki by default for Fedora) or at least by cacert[1], instead of a self signed certificate?

[1] http://www.cacert.org/ - here you get ssl certificates for free.

As of right now we officially aren't using cacert and don't plan on it. If the proper case can be made and real benefits come from it we may reconsider.
