I'd like a Fonts SIG ML created to serve as SIG coordination point and to be CCed on bugs in Fedora fonts packages
The list would be named fedora-fonts and follow all the conventions of fedora-devel
Assigning to mmcgrath as he seems to be the ML god.
Additionnal info
Name: fedora-fonts-list (or whatever you feel is more consistent with existing list)
Admin: nicolas.mailhot@laposte.net
Description: Discussion of fonts and other Fedora text rendering components. Coordination channel for http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/Fonts
Also I'd appreciate :
help producing a list of the mails of every maintainer or co-maintainer of a font package in Fedora (+EPEL, +OLPC) so I can send a "shop open" message and invite them to subscribe to this list
help having this list CC-ed on every new font package bug (+ bugs on strategic components like fontconfig, freetype, fontforge and pango) like the perl sig does for perl packages
Right now font discussions are spread over many lists and trying to coordinate them is a major chore
Request submitted.
Regarding 1) your best bet is to use --changelog and harvest the emails there. Regarding 2) you might be better off sending an announcement.
I queried the packagedb to generate a list for #1 and sent it to nim. That should get the ball rolling there.
For 2 I can get things setup in the packagedb with the current font packages once the mailing list is setup. CCing myself so I know when that is.
The list is created, but no one sent me the list password, so I can't perform list admin duties
password reset, email sent.
