#168 Cacti Cleanup
Closed: Fixed None Opened 16 years ago by mmcgrath.

Can we get some of the blank graphs in cacti cleaned up. Also we need to get the graph tree in better shape, adding a db section, releng section, etc.

jima: if you're interested and don't have access let me know.

Susmit and I have been working on this. All the hosts that are involved in fp.o should be listed as a device (the list was generated from existing cacti information, nagios and puppet configs). There are some default graphs but the next step is to determine what we want graphed, probably something to bring up at a meeting?

Notes on cacti config thus far..eventually dump it to the wiki somewhere?

This is good, couple of comments, I don't think we ever will care about any sit interfaces. I would like the tun devices mapped if we can. I'm not sure if snmp hits them correctly. If it does though, lets get them. On the xen servers I don't think we need to map vif interfaces nor any other wacky non peth interface. (eth and peth in xen is basically the same)

Also, in places we're mapping /mnt/koji, its the same on every box but cacti isn't showing the full size. Its a 10T share. I believe dgilmore has some insight on that if you guys get stuck

I'd also like the tree view all setup proper like with our app servers in one group, build servers in another.

I think you can delete xenbuilder3, that host just doesn't exist anymore. Good work guys!

Added the Application Server tree with branches/headings for each server, is that what we are looking for? I also removed the lo interface graph and the tun interfaces don't seem to get polled correctly (their interface speed/traffic doesn't get pulled via SNMP properly), so do we want those still?

Oh yeah, for disabled hosts, do we want to leave those as they are or delete them?

I have nearly finished adding the default graphs.[[BR]]

Now we need to find out the ones with null o/p.[[BR]]

Then we will proceed to graph and/or host hierarchy.
