#1661 camelus -- switch to git
Closed: Fixed None Opened 14 years ago by cweyl.

== Change Requested ==

I'd like to switch the VCS used by the camelus project from mercurial to git. Don't worry about history; I'll use tailor or somesuch to take care of that.

== Reasoning ==

I had this set up back when I was first exploring "Life Beyond CVS"; and Mercurial is definitely not where git is. In fact, I hardly commit/push with this repo, unlike the other git repos I've been using... Not exactly a good thing.

Is it possible to have multiple repos associated with a single trac project? (a la github?) If so, I might want to break some of this out.

I'm not sure if Trac handles multiple repos for it's source browser, but if that feature isn't important (you could use gitweb or something), you can have as many git repos as you like associated with the same FAS group (in infrastructure we do that for our custom supybot plugins, for example).

Anyhow, a new git repo camelus has been created, and the group name changed to gitcamelus. Let me know when I can nuke the old hg one from orbit.

Ping?

The camelus git repo appears to be empty????

I'm going to close this. Feel free to file a new ticket or re-open this one if you need anything.
