#1568 Agilo for Scrum Trac plugin on fedorahosted
Closed: Fixed None Opened 14 years ago by asgeirf.

Our team have started using Agilo and Scrum on an internal Trac instance for one of our projects, and like it a lot.

http://www.agile42.com/cms/pages/agilo/

The only issue for us is that we don't want to keep things 'internal' when they don't need to be, but managing tickets across two trac-instances (our internal Trac/Agilo instance and the upstream fedorahosted project) isn't ideal. What are the prospects of getting something like this deployed on fedorahosted?

An example of a public running instance:
https://dev.agile42.com/agilo-dashboard

I've posted a review request for the package:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=514452

We would be interested in piloting this within fedorahosted for e.g. the flies project. If a system-wide RPM deployment is too intrusive, would an egg-based deployment for our project be possible?

Hi Asgeirf,

If you can get it through the Package Review process and get it built for EL5 we can include it into the infrastructure repository.

Please note that we are only running 0.10.5 so the plugin will need to work with our version to work correctly.

We'd prefer by far not to deploy as eggs.

That's possibly a show-stopper, as I think Agilo requires >=0.11 as it takes advantages of some of the newer trac APIs. I will investigate further...

Yep, definetely needs >=0.11, so not much we can do at this stage I guess..

Trac upgrade is tracked in #1097, and also discussed here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-infrastructure-list/2009-February/msg00027.html

I'm not sure if it's covered in those discussions or not, but the git plugin for trac 0.11 requires python 2.5, and in EL-5 the version of python is 2.4. Our options were to either make hosted run on Fedora 11, or wait for EL-6. The consensus was that we'd wait for EL-6.

For the record, from our side this ticket can be closed as we have found another solution outside fedorahosted.

Closing per asgeirf's request.
