Oops, sorry - one question that I had was whether we wanted a NEW FAS group for the hosted project (which is what we normally do) or if we wanted to use the existing designteam group - i.e. is the group that you want to commit to this repo vs. the shared space on f-people ever going to diverge?

I've created the trac instance in the meantime, since that really doesn't depend on this answer. You and duffy are admins of the trac instance.

That's a good question, Jon -- I can't see why we would want people only able to write to a content area, or this git repo -- better to simply open up the doors for contributors, in my view. But I'll definitely yield to Mo about it, and if she wants to ask the group for more opinions, no problem.

I think if possible we should use the same group.

I'm sorry, I'd talked with Paul about this on IRC. Since it would be easy enough to change later, I created the repo with the same group. So it's already done :)

The trac instance is actually called fedora-design. Do you want me to rename it to design-team? That's a trivial change.

The thing is that right now the link on the front page of Fedora Hosted is broken because it points to design-team, so it's a little tough to find right now.

hi, we are still having naming issues, eg

is where we upload our tarballs... but our fedora hosted site is 'design-team' - is there any way we could get the naming consistent?

Just to get a small summary of where things stand right now:

Trac: design-team
Git repo: fedora-design.git
Upload directory (comes from git repo) releases/f/e/fedora-design

So it looks like the git repo is the only thing that'd need to change to make everything consistent.

I think this is still pending -- need git repo renamed, right?

I looked at it yesterday and it was still not renamed. Would we want to rename the git repo and provide a symlink so the old name works? If yes, is that workable from an infrastructure point of view, i.e. will it cause any issues for scripts, accounting, etc. having the symlink?

Also, do you then want the trac configuration updated to point to the git repo so the source browser will be active?

Thanks for the ping, I thought there was one person this ticket was originally assigned to but it was actually assigned to all of sysadmin-hosted-members :-)

I've renamed the releases directory and the git repo now. People with existing clones can either rename the directory and edit their .git/config or reclone to pick up the change.
