The following "odd" directories seem to have been created when branching packages for cvs:

They all contain a template Makefile,v and sources,v file with no important information.
I think some of these might have been when the 'arj' package was branched for EPEL.
kevin, I think it is safe to remove these directories. Go ahead or if you want me to let me know.
I have removed the directories. Hopefully the issue won't re-occur. If it does, we can always reopen this and track it further.
