#13000 Switch to OIDC for an external app. from the GNOME Project
Closed: Duplicate by guilieb. Opened by guilieb.

Hi,

GNOME Damned Lies, the translation application of the GNOME ecosystem uses the Fedora authentication system, amongst other 3rd party providers to allow users to authenticate.

I’ve seen the warning, as I’m currently using OpenID though the library social-core (for Python and Django) (https://github.com/python-social-auth/social-core). I’d like to switch to OIDC but I don’t know how to create an app, and if I can do it myself.

I’ve seen the conversation for Weblate here and it looks it will be easy: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/12479

Thanks!

Might be worth pinging someone in matrix if this is still open after mid. Jan.

In your case Aurélien, specifically.
