HI,
Unless there is an exceptional reason, we are typically creating new groups for tracking these permissions. You can read more here:
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/forge-documentation/fas_group_naming_standards/
However, can I propose the following layout:
diversity
Full Admin access to the organization.
Mapped to new FAS Group: forge-diversity-owners, with sponsors: @amsharma @bee2502 @jflory7 @jonatoni @marinaz @meskarune @riecatnor @tatica
forge-diversity-owners
and members: @amsharma @bee2502 @jflory7 @jonatoni @marinaz @meskarune @riecatnor @tatica
Write access to all repos in the organization.
Mapped to new FAS Group: forge-diversity-members, with sponsors: @amsharma @bee2502 @jflory7 @jonatoni @marinaz @meskarune @riecatnor @tatica
forge-diversity-members
And members: @amsharma @bee2502 @bt0dotninja @chhavi @chris @csutherl @ekidney @isagordillo @jflory7 @jonatoni @lilyx @lochipi @marinaz @misc @mouse @nikhilkathole @orionstar25 @pyadav @ramyaparimi @riecatnor @rwright @sarah-thornton @siddharthvipul1 @tatica * @x3mboy
Thanks @ryanlerch
@ryanlerch Similar to what we did with CommOps, could we make the Forgejo members group "inherit" the membership from the diversity-team FAS group? This would save us a lot of manual labor and help the future folks who come after us have fewer things they need to remember.
diversity-team
Thanks for your help on this!
Thanks for using Fedora Forge!
I have:
Created the forge-dei-members Fedora Accounts group with the following:
forge-dei-members
Created the new dei organization on Fedora Forge -- https://forge.fedoraproject.org/dei/
dei
Added 2 teams to the new dei org:
forge-dei-owners
Updated the teams mapping so the Fedora Accounts teams map, and on next login any users in the Fedora Accounts groups will be granted access to the mapped teams in Fedora Forge.
Next Steps 1. Update the settings for your org, including the details like description etc -https://forge.fedoraproject.org/org/dei/settings 3. Add a profile page for your organization: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/forge-documentation/create_org_profile_page/ 4. Migrate from Pagure: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/forge-documentation/migration/pagure_repository/

Thanks so much @ryanlerch :tada:
