#12332 Consider turning off GitLab Duo for the fedora group
Closed: Fixed with Explanation by kevin. Opened by dcavalca.

Describe what you would like us to do:

GitLab Duo is a new "feature" that GitLab silently enabled automatically for everyone that adds some AI stuff, and may or may not use repo contents for training such AI (the ToS are ambiguous). In CentOS we've decided to disable it by default at the group level, so that individual repos need to turn it on explicitly if they want it. I would recommend Fedora to do the same for the fedora GitLab group.

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

asap

It seems that we don't have it.

The group setting has 2 bottons:

Purchase Seats

and

Contact Sales

I guess they haven't enabled it for community things yet.

Thanks for the heads up though... and if you see them saying they are rolling it out more let us know and we can check for it.
