As per the discussion in this ticket [1] it was agreed that the best way forward in regards to monitor-gating would be to retire it.

Steps to follow: • Remove all mentions of monitor-gating from the Ansible repo. [2] • Delete the project in OpenShift. • Retire the dummy packages it was using. [3][4][5]

While going through the Ansible repo I came across mentions of a project named monitor-dashboard. Since it processes monitor-gating data it will have to go as well.
