#12127 missing Bugzilla component for a new package
Closed: Fixed with Explanation 24 days ago by zlopez. Opened a month ago by michich.

Bugzilla is missing a component for a package that was added to Fedora last week:
The package is: osu-micro-benchmarks

When I try to file a bug for the package at:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Fedora
the Component field does not know about osu-micro-benchmarks.

The completed package review:

I reached out to the Fedora devel mailing list. I got a reply from Ben Beasley who suggested that synchronization of Fedora components to Bugzilla appears to be delayed or broken and pointed me here to fedora-infrastructure.

Yeah, we are aware. This is more breakage from retiring pdc. ;(

We actually have the new setup ( https://pagure.io/fedora-infra/toddlers/pull-request/238 ) but we didn't get time before flock to roll it out.
Hopefully in the next few days we will get it tested and rolled out.

Sorry for the issue.

I plan to look at this, when I will find some time.

There is a PR ready for review and hopefully will be merged and deployed soon.

The changes are now deployed and the distgit_bugzilla_sync is already running in production for 2 hours. Not sure how long it will take for it to finish.

It seems that the changes messed things up. It now thinks that every rpm is container and thus created plenty of rpm packages as components under Fedora Container Images product. I will need to create a script to clean that up and I disabled the distgit_bugzilla_sync for now till this is resolved in the script.

I'm sorry for the mess.

I deployed the fix for distgit_bugzilla_sync and it seems to work correctly now. The Bugzilla component should appear soon. I'm closing this as fixed, feel free to reopen it if it's still missing.
