Describe what you would like us to do:

As I understand it, the current mapping from FAS to gitlab group permissions for the ai-ml sig are:

  • fas ai-ml-sig -> 'developer' on the sigs/ai-ml group in gitlab
  • fas ai-ml-sig-admin -> 'admin' on the sigs/ai-ml group in gitlab

We have a need for folks to be mapped as maintainers, so I'm requesting that the groups be re-worked so that we match normal group naming conventions for gitlab.

  • gitlab-fedora-aiml-developer -> 'developer' in the sigs/ai-ml group in gitlab
  • gitlab-fedora-aiml-maintainer -> 'maintainer' in the sigs/ai-ml group in gitlab
  • gitlab-fedora-aiml-admin -> 'admin' in the sigs/ai-ml group in gitlab

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

2024/04/19 would work but sooner would be appreciated, if possible

for permisisons, please add @tflink and @jsteffan as sponsors for all three groups.

if possible please copy the existing membership of 'ai-ml-sig' to 'gitlab-fedora-aiml-developer' and 'ai-ml-sig-admin' to 'gitlab-fedora-aiml-admin'
