#1182 Locate database dump from Testopia instance for use with "nitrate"
Closed: Fixed None Opened 15 years ago by dmalcolm.

In June 2008 Jon Stanley and I set up a Testopia instance for Fedora, which was at:
https://publictest2.fedoraproject.org/testopia

We noticed a licensing issue with the software, and took it down.

Later, there was an security issue that led to all of the entire Fedora infrastucture being rebuilt.

I'm working on a replacement for Testopia, currently codenamed nitrate, and it would be useful to have the data from the Testopia instance, as a starting point for a public nitrate instance. IIRC it was a MySQL db stored locally on that Xen guest.

I've been looking, but I can't find a dump of the db anywhere (I believe I had one in my home directory on that box)

Is is possible to have a mysqldump of the relevant db from that guest? (possibly just that file from my home dir there, if it avoids you having to restart the guest?)

As I recall, that was on publictest2, I'll take a look through the LVM and see what I can do (no guarantees sadly)

Thanks. Note that the data will contain password hashes for users, so it's sensitive data.

(Hopefully they didn't use important passwords)

Database dumped into your homedir on pt15.
