RHEL 7 EOL is approaching (June 2024) and we still have some services running on RHEL7 machines.
Fedimg is one of these services and we need to do something about it.
This application needs to be investigated first, so we know if it's still used and needs to be updated.

Metadata Update from @zlopez: - Issue assigned to humaton
CC: @davdunc and the cloud sig folks were talking about replacing this, but I don't know the status.
Note here too that fedimg both consumes and emits fedmsgs so that will need to be changed to fedora messaging if this sticks around
Metadata Update from @zlopez: - Issue marked as depending on: #11860
https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/11860 should replace fedimg
@humaton I see that https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/11860 is now closed as fixed. Do we need anything else to be done here?
It is, but currently it is only uploading to Azure. We need to wait for it to handle AWS as well before we can retire fedimg.
There are some folks looking at adding that...
Checking in on progress as we're close to the expected done date.
This is now waiting on https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/issue/11999 and after that it should be ready to replace fedimg.
cloud-image-uploader has taken over. ;)
I've removed fedimg from ansible and archived the vm.
Thanks everyone who worked on this!
