I selected ‘Fedora Account System’ and tried to log in with my Fedora account.
It says:
Choose/Create a Red Hat Bugzilla Account
Red Hat Bugzilla could not map your Fedora Account System login to a Red Hat Bugzilla account.
If you would like to create a Red Hat Bugzilla account for “” then click HERE?
If you would like to use an existing account with your SAML provider then the mail addresses must match. You can do this by logging in to yourRed Hat Bugzilla account using the user/password login and changing the mail address, or by changing the mail address in the SAML service.
Once you have logged in to your Red Hat Bugzilla account you can use the self service workflow to Request Group Membership.

Are users expected to login and create bugzilla accounts using FAS, or are there some more requirements? Do they need to create an independent bugzilla account with the same e-mail etc. for example?

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

Whenever convenient please (I realise this may not be an issue with FAS, but I wasn't sure where else to file this)

Thanks Kevin. I think the issue here is that the user has not yet explicitly created a bugzilla account---we assumed that logging in with FAS would create one, but Alan's post here (which you had replied to too) seems to suggest that this is not the case. So, one has to create a bugzilla account explicitly, and if the e-mail there and in FAS match, one can use FAS to login to bugzilla in the future.

I'll close this ticket and see if I can get bugzilla folks to somehow make this clear (or is there somewhere in Fedora docs that we can make a note of this perhaps?)

ah yes, you do have to make an account. I'd be happy to document that anywhere, but not really sure where. ;(

I see quick-docs has a "using bugzilla" section now, so maybe we add a "creating an account and using FAS" type sub-section there?
