Maybe the cronjob isn't working? FWIW, it's safe to delete the cache completely, since it's just temporary data, and then run the script.
Some modules are updated frequently (like libvirt), and some are not (much more, including fedora-web, virt-manager, some of system-config-* etc...). For example, anaconda shows last update: 2008-11-19 01:19:45 UTC.
I'm not quite sure what happened here but it seems to be working now. Closing ticket (re-open if it is not fixed and I just think it is)
