Describe what you would like us to do:

Deactivate and anonymize my account, I'd like to move to a new username.

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

Not an urgent matter, no hard deadline

P.S. Ideally I'd like to move information over to my new account as much as possible, but it appears that not much can actually be moved. Moving should take precedence over deletion - for instance, don't anonymize my Ask Fedora primary email address, since that is needed for the username change workaround as per https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/how-can-i-delete-my-account/63231/2

Can you file this at https://pagure.io/fedora-pdr ?

Thats where we process gdpr information and close account requests.

Sorry for the trouble...

Thanks!

What's the difference between an account deactivation and closure request? Apologizes for the confusion from my wording above, I intended to state that "Moving should take precedence over [anonymization]" - that is, this is NOT a deletion request.

You can do all of this yourself... just:

  • change the email you have on your current account in the account system ( https://accounts.fedoraproject.org ) to some other email address.
  • get the email about the change and accept it.
  • make a new account with your current email address
  • login to discussion with the new account and it should link all your information there.

The only part you can't do (if you want to) is deactivating the old account completely at the end. If you want that, file over in https://pagure.io/fedora-pdr. But you don't have to do that part you could just not ever use the old account and be happy.

Hopefully that all makes sense.
