Describe what you would like us to do:

sumantrom is a sponsored packager as I am part of the packager group. However, when @rishi tries to add me to a package as a co-maintainer, it just doesn't happen and throws errors. Can someone please help if this is an infra issue ?

When do you need this to be done by? (YYYY/MM/DD)

You need to logout of src.fedoraproject.org and login again. Group memberships are refreshed on login.

Try that and let us know if it works?

Let us know if that doesn't work/reopen this and we will track it down further. :)

@sumantrom said that he has now tried the log out/in dance, but src.fedoraproject.org still complains that the user isn't in the packager group when I try to add him to rpms/toolbox with commit access.

I also tried to log out/in myself, but I am not sure how feasible that is with an active Kerberos TGT for the FEDORAPROJECT.ORG realm, because it logs me right back in after I click log out. So I got rid of my TGT, logged out, got a new TGT and then logged back in.

Still no dice.

Did I mess it up when sponsoring @sumantrom into the packager group?

No, it's showing them as in packager now... are you sure you tried to add them after the logged back in?

Can you try once again? If that doesn't work, I will try myself and see if I can duplicate it?

are you sure you tried to add them after the logged back in

Yes, I think so, because I was talking to @sumantrom while doing all this.

Can you try once again? If that doesn't work, I will try myself and see if I can duplicate it?

I was going to do that when I noticed that he already has commit access to rpms/toolbox and container/fedora-toolbox. So, either someone did some magic to sort things out, or the errors that we were getting yesterday were spurious.
