#11161 Change ask.fedoraproject.org CNAME to point to merged site
Closed: Fixed a year ago by kevin. Opened a year ago by mattdm.

When CDCK (discourse) is ready, they will make sure that urls on the old Ask Fedora site properly redirect to their new location on the Fedora Discussion Ask subcategory, using some mapping on their side.

Right now. ask.fedoraproject.org is a CNAME pointing at askfedora.hosted-by-discourse.com. When the time comes, this should change to fedoraproject.hosted-by-discourse.com (this is what discussion.fedoraproject.org already points to).

If all goes well, that will be in a few hours. I'll comment here and also in Matrix. (Worst case it's okay if we need to wait until Monday.)

All ready to make the change whenever (although I have to go out to the store in a bit for a few hours).

Ready for this whenever. Thanks!

Actually, I'm not sure things are right on the DIscourse side. So please hold off on this....

No, wait, never mind the never mind. Please go ahead whenever. :)

pushing now. ;) Done. Should be live in ~5m

Let us know if we can do anything more from this end. :)
