#10853 ML user has forwading loop with SPF issued, so any poster with a valid SPF gets mail from Outlook.com
Closed: Fixed 2 years ago by kevin. Opened 2 years ago by mschwarz.

Hi,

the following useremails :

amdlnx60@googlemail.com
gregormeier@outlook.com
ppapen@hotmail.de

produce this:

Generierender Server: DB9P251MB0169.EURP251.PROD.OUTLOOK.COM

amdlnx60@googlemail.com
Remote Server returned '550-5.7.26 The MAIL FROM domain [cloud-foo.de] has an SPF record with a hard 550-5.7.26 fail policy (-all) but it fails to pass SPF checks with the ip: 550-5.7.26 [104.47.9.51]. To best protect our users from spam and phishing, the 550-5.7.26 message has been blocked. Please visit 550-5.7.26 https://support.google.com/mail/answer/81126#authentication for more 550 5.7.26 information. u17-20020a170902e5d100b0016d6bf567e1si11282203plf.45 - gsmtp'

because the forwarder-loop tries to send a mail from outlook.com to google with a domainname that has a SPF record. SRS is not applied by M$ servers, so it ends like it must end: SPF FAIL at google.

As any poster to the FedoraDEVML with a working hard-fail SPF record will get this message,
it could be annoying at least for some posters.

Pls remove the addresses in question. I failed to contact the problematic address, whichever i tried, it failed in the same way, so there is no chance to solve this outside.

Of course, one without an SPF entry, which all my domains have, could contact the subscriber and tell him about this mistakes.

best regard,
Marius Schwarz

I tried to mail them also with no luck...

I've unsubscribed them.

Thanks for the notice.
