I voted in the elections but never got my badge for it, was worried something with the badges system might be broken and wanted to report it.
Whenever, it's not urgent.
It looks like only Ben Cotton got this badge: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/i-voted%3A-fedora-36
I think the way the voting badges work is that they're manually awarded after the election is done, to avoid a theoretical timestamp-based de-anonymization attack on the votes. And @bcotton may be planning to do that ... later this week? @bcotton can confirm or deny. :)
The one I got on November 26 was: https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/i-voted%3A-fedora-35
As usual it was linked in the pop-up once you prepare your vote or after validating/casting your ballot (ie: you don't need to actually vote to get it, you can just make a first selection, get you badge and not confirm that selection)
There are above 200 people who were awarded the badge. So I think this is just a single case.
I got it myself as well.
That's correct. I accidentally created the badge for the F36 elections, so when I voted as soon as elections opened, I realized that I used the wrong version and fixed it before anyone else could get it.
Nope. It's done based on clicking the link to claim your badge in the elections app. I have no way of telling who voted. Did you click the claim link when you voted?
So it looks like this worked as expected -- unless @maxamillion did click on the claim link, otherwise something weird happened.
