#10396 nagios alert emails are not sent to all the team members

I added @schlupov to the contact group,
but it appears that Nagios doesn't send the e-mails to her.

Can anyone give us advice?


ok what is weird is I don't see any emails going to any of the team.. the only emails go out to sysadmin-members@fedoraproject.org, nagios@fedoraproject.org, and 2 sysadmin-main people. Which when parsing through the configs only occurs because they are defined in the nagios/escalations.cfg

So the reason why schlupov isn't getting the email is probably because she isn't in the sysadmin group on IPA and the only reason everyone else has been was not because of the contacts you had carefully put in, but because they are in the sysadmin-members group.

Right, it sends to sysadmin-members by default and only specific others if configured to.

So, options:

  • Just add copr team folks to sysadmin (This would have been required before as it was a prereq to sysadmin-anything, but isn't in the new account system anymore).

  • Add some logic to send the copr alerts to sysadmin-copr-members or coprteam or something?

  • Add login to send to specific copr team members.

Thoughts?

I'm neutral... The only thing we need is to deliver these messages. Just tell us
if you need some help with implementing one of those options.

Is there a list of copr team folks so I can make sure all of them are in sysadmin? or just everyone in sysadmin-copr?

Done. schlupov was the only one not in the group and they have been added.
