Not sure if there anything we can do here, but we will investigate it.

The download servers are not under any particular load. I am getting about 3MB/sec here, which is what i normally get.

This could just be something between where you are and download servers.

Do you normally see higher rates?

My normal download speed range is 300KB - 1MB / s .
It is the first time I see as low as 40KB - 80KB /s .

For what it's worth, I'm on a Google Fiber connection, and about 30 minutes ago as a test downloaded the Fedora 34 workstation ISO with the speed range being 6MB/s - 14MB/s.

Test results
download 145.8Mbps
upload 62.6 Mbps
Sun Techcom
Los Angeles, CA

My current MySpeedMeter.net result is 145Mb/s download and 62.6Mb/s upload.

But downloading below only at 50KB/s
https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/releases/34/Labs/x86_64/iso/Fedora-Astronomy_KDE-Live-x86_64-34-1.2.iso

Is this still happening? I am not sure what all we can do about it... our connection seems fine, but it sounds like there's some routing or other issue between your machine and our servers thats slowing your connections down. ;(

This is of course one of the reasons we have mirrors.

You should be able to download faster from one of:

or

any of the mirrors on https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mirrormanager/

If there's something further we can do happy to do so, but I can't think of what. ;(
