Here’s the PR: #192
And #192 is merged.
I would push it to staging, but it can’t work before its additional configuration is in place: fedora-infra/ansible#1940
@abompard This is kind of blocked deployment-side because we don’t have that email sink in staging for testing. Do you want this ticket kept open?
Could we just take the staging scm-commits list: https://lists.stg.fedoraproject.org/admin/lists/scm-commits.lists.stg.fedoraproject.org/ and remove all users from it (except for whatever users we want to test with)?
I know in a lot of cases we don't want staging apps to send email to real users, but in this case it's only sending to the scm-commits list and we can control who gets that right?

Oops, I dropped this… 😬
Yeah, that could work.
Mhm. I would even say that in the general case we don’t want staging apps to send real emails, but having a cleansed list to test should be a feasible workaround.
Yeah. We can make you a list admin there and you can adjust the stg version however you like?
Sounds good. BTW, shouldn’t all lists in staging be empty anyways? Assuming staging infra shouldn’t normally send out communication out of principle.
Well, we typically populate staging by dump/restoring the prod db on it, so it has all the subscribers.
I suppose we could clear them out as part of that, but then we couldn't use it to test any bugs around subscriber lists.
I tried to add you to admin there, but django-admin is asking for a login and not letting me in. ;(
@zlopez any ideas on django admin on stg mailman ?
@kevin You weren't admin of mailman on staging. See https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/infra/sysadmin_guide/mailman/#_adding_user_as_admin
I added you, but @nphilipp is not in the database, I assume he didn't logged in yet to https://lists.stg.fedoraproject.org.
Resolved this on standup with @nphilipp.
